A Consumer EEG–Driven Word Keyboard for
Assistive Communication

Submitted to 39th IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems (CBMS 2026)

As part of a research team at MannLab, I helped develop a low-cost, brain-controlled keyboard designed to remove the need for physical screens. I focused on creating a low cost alternative to AAC devices for communication to explore the potential of using brainwaves to communicate.
